Membership is open to young people up to the age of 19, who are in full-time education at school/college/home.

We hold a number of open concerts that you can attend. For potential new members we can arrange for you to come and sit in at a rehearsal.

Hampshire County Youth Band

Requirements: at or close to grade/stage 6+

Hampshire County Training Band

When: Saturdays, weekly 10am to midday
Requirements: at or close to grade/stage 5+

Hampshire County Junior Band

Costs

Ensemble membership fees.  County ensemble membership is £55 per term for 2025/26. If your child is a member of one or more ensembles you will only pay one termly fee, e.g. a member of an area and county ensemble will only pay one fee of £55 per term.

Hampshire County Youth Bands Association membership. The HCYB Association is a charitable organisation (No 297707) that supports the three bands in the HCYB pyramid by funding essential equipment, sheet music, room hire, van hire, tutors, instrument purchase and repairs, tours and tour clothing. For essential funds HCYBA rely on parental contribution to a voluntary membership scheme, set at £60 per family per year.
